Vanessa Grimaldi Opens Up About Her 'Rewarding' Return to Teaching Special Education
Before fans fell in love with Vanessa Grimaldi on “The Bachelor” Season 21 in 2017, she captured the hearts of countless students as a special education teacher.
The Montreal, Canada, native recently made a “rewarding” return to the classroom, as she explained in a touching Instagram post shared on Thursday.
“Oh, hello! It’s me - awkward Vanessa,” the beloved franchise star wrote, accompanied by a series of stunning selfies. “I remember reading a caption a while back that stuck with me. It explained how happy and fulfilled this person was in their personal life and how they noticed they were not on social media as much anymore as a result of it.”
She continued, “This is how I’ve been feeling the last few weeks. Ever since I started teaching again.”
Vanessa — who announced her engagement to fiancé Josh Wolfe in August 2020 — went on to say that she has enjoyed focusing less on her online profile and more on her professional passion.
“I still love coming on here and connecting with people I know, with followers I’ve never met but bonded with online, plus it’s a great place to get some style & beauty inspo LOL,” she wrote. “But, it has felt good to wake up and do something for a few hours that does not require any social media. None at all.”
Vanessa concluded her note by expressing the sheer appreciation she has for her job — and left Bachelor Nation with words of encouragement.
“The validation, the sense of purpose and fulfillment I get in the classroom is the most rewarding!” she wrote. “And my hope is that everyone on here finds their sense of purpose, whatever it may be. There is no better feeling!”
