Pregnant Lauren Burnham Pens Sweet Note to Her Twins Ahead of June Due Date
Anticipating her future role as a mom of three, Lauren Burnham took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a sweet note dedicated to her and husband Arie Luyendyk Jr.’s unborn twins.
“Hi little ones. This week you are 30 weeks old!” I cannot believe we are so close to seeing your little faces!” wrote the pregnant Bachelor Nation star, who already shares daughter Alessi, 22 months, with Arie.
“We are all getting so excited! we have your bassinets set up & our hospital bag is (almost) ready to go,” Lauren continued. “I’ve been having so much fun shopping for little outfits for you guys. Your sister has been so sweet talking about you all the time and trying to feel your kicks.”
The Shades of Rose founder — who lives with Arie in Scottsdale, Arizona — then told her incoming bundles of joy about their father’s recent victory at a car racing event in St. Petersburg, Florida.
“In other news, dada raced this weekend & brought home a trophy,” she wrote. “You guys are going to have so much fun growing up around the racing community. I know he’s excited to share that with you.”
Lauren concluded her message by expressing gratitude for the remainder of her pregnancy. The twins, a boy and a girl, are expected to arrive in June. “Aside from that, I just want you two to stay in there and keep growing for a while longer!” she wrote. “Love you!”
The post — which was uploaded via the @luyendyktwins Instagram page — comes days after Lauren told Bachelor Nation about her latest pregnancy during a candid YouTube video Q&A.
“Emotionally, I was in a different place in my last pregnancy,” she said. “I was very excited about our future and getting married and buying our first house. Very low-stress situation in the beginning when we didn’t have kids yet. We were just like, ‘Oh, this is such a magical time and everything is great. No stresses.’ It was very positive, and I don’t feel like I was ever really on an emotional roller coaster during that pregnancy.”
However, after suffering a devastating miscarriage in May 2020, Lauren admitted to experiencing “some dark moments” this time around. “I was constantly worried about losing these babies,” she said. “But once we got out of the first trimester, I felt a lot better.”
Lauren and Arie — who wed in January 2019 after falling in love on “The Bachelor” Season 22 — announced their pregnancy in December 2020.
