Sydney Lotuaco Shares Powerful Message About Social Media and Self-Confidence
Words won’t bring her down! Sydney Lotuaco took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a powerful message about social media and its impact on self-confidence.
“Was super productive today until I took a social media break, which led me to thinking I needed to clap back at someone on tiktok with a clever video,” the Bachelor Nation alum wrote alongside a stunning photo of herself looking into a mirror. “But then proceeded to film said video, decided to be the bigger person and not post it, but still threw off part of my day.”
She continued, “All this is to say, don’t let social media dictate how you feel about yourself, don’t let other people pull you down to their level, and watch the words you say to that human in the mirror because they matter! Sending love to all of you on this Tuesday.”
Sydney has no reason to be bothered, as she is currently living her best life. During an exclusive interview with BachelorNation.com in March, the stunning model and fitness instructor explained how her time on “The Bachelor” Season 23 and “Bachelor in Paradise” Season 6 led to her “thriving” love life with boyfriend Nick Wehby.
“He had watched me on ‘The Bachelor.’ He was a fan of me from the show and then he reached out because of it,” recounted the Virginia native, who has since relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio, to live with Nick. “I felt like I was a little bit more open to love and finding it in really crazy ways because of the show. At the time he had reached out, I had an apartment in L.A., I was at home in a pandemic, we couldn’t travel, and he was living in Ohio.”
She added, “If I had a close-minded mindset — like I probably would have had in 2018 before the show — I don’t think I would be where I am now, where we’re dating and I’m living in a completely different state and just going with what happens.”
