Keeping It 100! A Toast to 'Bachelor Happy Hour' Ahead of Its Landmark Episode
Get ready to pop the champagne, Bachelor Nation — because we’re close to celebrating 100 episodes of “Bachelor Happy Hour”!
Rachel Lindsay and Becca Kufrin’s landmark episode will debut on Tuesday, highlighting the best moments from their unforgettable run as co-hosts.
“It feels like we just started. But at the same time, I feel like we’ve been doing this forever,” Rachel said on April 27’s 99th episode. “It’s been really great building this ‘Bachelor Happy Hour’ audience.”
Rachel originated the podcast in the summer of 2019 alongside fellow former Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky. “It started off with Ali, who’s fantastic,” Rachel said of the beloved franchise star. “I don’t feel like I give her enough praise.”
Ali had to step aside from the podcast due to timing conflicts. Becca later filled her role, delighting both Rachel and listeners.
“Ali had to go and [Becca] came in, and [she] didn’t miss a beat. It’s been a lot of fun to see our friendship grow through the podcast, just to have fun with all the new blood that’s coming in from the show, to work through hard moments, to come here and vent when we’re going through something,” Rachel continued. “That’s what the podcast gives you, that community.”
Becca reminisced on the beginning stages of her “Bachelor Happy Hour” journey, gushing over her instant connection with Rachel.
“I had such an absolute blast, and it was because of [Rachel],” the Season 14 Bachelorette said. “[She was] the reason that sold me because I was like, ‘It’s just girl time.’ So, for everyone listening, it’s because of Rachel Lindsay that I’m here.”
It was during episode 99 that Rachel announced she will be departing “Bachelor Happy Hour” after its 100th edition.
“We’re already here with the 100th episode and I’m proud of it and what it’s become,” the Season 13 Bachelorette said. “It’s been a lot of fun to see [my] friendship [with Becca] grow through the podcast, just to have fun with all the new blood that’s coming in from the show, to work through hard moments, to come here and vent when we’re going through something. That’s what the podcast gives you, that community.”
The “Extra” correspondent also expressed acclaim for Becca, who she believes will continue to take great care of “Bachelor Happy Hour” and its fans.
“I can walk away, and I know it’s all good and I know it’s going to be great. [Becca has] allowed me to have the space to step away when I needed to. I would listen to the podcast on the side and I’m like, ‘Oh, she’s got this.’ For me, I can walk away now,” Rachel said. “I just want to say thank you guys for riding with me for such a long time. Continue to ride with Becca, support her, uplift her, and this podcast as well.”
During episode 99, Rachel and Becca reflected on their favorite “Bachelor Happy Hour” memories, including Blake Horstmann’s in-depth sit-down about his “Bachelor in Paradise” drama and important discussions about race and diversity within Bachelor Nation, among others.
