Becca Tilley Is 'Overwhelmed with Gratitude and Excitement' After Buying Her First House
A happy homeowner! Becca Tilley took to her Instagram Story on Monday to share the exciting news that she bought her first house.
“I recently just bought a house, which is so exciting. I can’t even believe it. I don’t think I’ll believe it until I’m in it for a minute,” said the Bachelor Nation alum, who lives in Southern California. “Anyways, I am considering doing a soft move where I move all of my big things and everything that I know I for sure want to take to the new house, so I can live in that space and it’s clean and organized.”
Becca — who has her current apartment until the end of the month — added, “Then I can kind of go back and forth to my old place and go through the annoying small things, like the tedious things, to figure out what I actually want to take instead of just taking everything and having to go through it.”
In an accompanying caption, the franchise star added that she is “overwhelmed with gratitude and excitement” after making her big purchase.
Elsewhere on her Story, Becca gave followers a glimpse inside her hectic moving process.
“OK, so I’m moving tomorrow. It happened really fast. But with my schedule and the moving company’s schedule, it just worked for tomorrow. So, we’re just doing it,” she said. “The issue is I am not packed at all. And I don’t have any boxes, so I have a company that’s bringing these reusable moving boxes, but they’re not coming until tomorrow morning when the movers are already here.”
Becca elaborated, “So, the plan is I’m going to be packing stuff while they’re moving — but I just am worried that they’re going to get here and be mad. Or even worse, they’re going to be disappointed that I didn’t already pack stuff. If you’ve done this, please give me some encouragement!”
Later, the stunning San Diego native described her emotional state as she prepares to begin a new chapter in different digs.
“I’m also really emotional that this is my last night here. It all has happened so fast and now I’m just sitting here, like, this is my final night in my apartment,” she said. “I’m so excited for my house. But I loved this place and it wasn’t somewhere where I was like, ‘Ugh, I can’t wait to get out of here.’ So much has happened here and so much growth and amazing times with my friends and, yeah, I’m feeling so many emotions. I’m overwhelmed!”
On Tuesday morning, Becca shared footage of movers packing up her belongings. “It’s moving day. I ended up packing all of the shoes that I’m taking. I emptied out all of my drawers last night and packed it all in my empty suitcases,” she said with a sense of relief. “So, I do feel like that was productive. There is a lot to be done, but I do feel better that I did something.”
Congrats, Becca!
