Experience Cleveland, Ohio, Like Peter Weber on 'The Bachelor'
Cleveland, Ohio, was made for couples looking for a romantic getaway.
From historic landmarks and fun-filled adventures to football games, this American city is the perfect place to let a budding relationship bloom.
Peter Weber traveled to Cleveland on Season 24 of “The Bachelor,” and here’s how you can experience all its magic just like him.
Arrival: Sample the City
Settle in at the luxurious Hilton Cleveland Downtown hotel. Once you unpack your bags, head out to sample some of the city’s most popular sights: the starry Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the scenic Voinovich Bicentennial Park on the North Coast Harbor, and the mouthwatering restaurants that line Cleveland’s famous East 4th Street.
One-on-One Date: A Romantic Ride
Meet your date at Burke Lakefront Airport, where you can charter a private flight to take you across Cleveland — admiring the gorgeous skyline — before landing at Port Clinton Airport in nearby Sandusky. Once you step off the plane, venture forth to Ohio’s beloved Cedar Point theme park. Get your adrenaline pumping as you and bae make your way through a series of scream-inducing roller coasters, including the Top Thrill Dragster, Cedar Point’s tallest attraction, which features a 40-foot drop.
Once you and your significant other have calmed down from all the high-energy activity, enjoy an intimate dinner for two at the historic Cleveland City Hall.
Group Date: Football Fantasy
While Peter’s women participated in private football drills courtesy of NFL players Hanford Dixon and Josh Cribbs, take a more relaxing approach to experiencing the excitement of the Cleveland Browns simply by treating your partner to a game at FirstEnergy Stadium.
While you observe the competing teams’ plays, passes, and touchdowns, don’t forget to give your date a smooch here and there. If you’re lucky enough to make it on the kiss cam, declare your love for each other by locking lips for the entire stadium to see!
Later, cap off your evening at Windows on the River, where you can take in stunning views of the Cuyahoga River as you indulge in a decadent meal paired with delicious cocktails.
One-on-One Date: Cleveland Couple
At this point, you and your boo might think you’ve experienced all that Cleveland has to offer — but there is even more of the city to explore.
Begin your day at the Mall Park in front of the beautiful Fountain of Eternal Life, which you can think of as a great omen for a long-lasting romance. Next, walk over to the Public Square and make a stop at the Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Monument, which honors the more than 9,000 individuals from Cuyahoga County who served the Union throughout the Civil War.
As you continue to traverse Cleveland — which is full of talented street performers — find your way to a pierogi stand for a quick bite. Then, wash those pierogis down with a drink at the lively Corner Alley bar on East 4th Street.
End your date by hopping aboard the Nautica Queen for a dreamy cruise down the Cuyahoga River, which dances at night with sparkling reflections from Cleveland’s city lights.
Rose Ceremony: Make History Together
Finish your getaway with a visit to the Cleveland History Center, where each document, artifact, and exhibit tells a story.
