Chris Watson Drops Dreamy New Remix of His Single 'The Sweetest Thing'
Volume up, Bachelor Nation! Chris Watson dropped a dreamy new remix of his single “The Sweetest Thing” on Friday.
As the “Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart” winner explained via Instagram, the track — which features fellow artists Madison Malone, Ddidthat, and Sierra Blax — explores his relationship with God.
“So grateful to God and His every lasting love. I would simply be lost without it,” he wrote. “I created this tune with my friends to show the love we all share. If what goes around comes around, I want to give and receive goodness!”
Chris croons on the chorus, “I call you savior, I am your own / Your love is the sweetest thing that I’ve ever known.”
The talented musician’s release was accompanied by a lyric video, which you can watch — and sing along with! — below.
The release of “The Sweetest Thing (Remix)” comes shortly after Chris discussed his thriving solo career in an exclusive interview with BachelorNation.com. (After winning “LTYH” alongside Bri Stauss, the pair released an album together but amicably parted ways in January.)
“My time on the show allowed me to take more authority with my creativity. A song or performance can be done a million ways, and I’ve learned to choose one way and stick with it,” he said. “It’s not as important to worry how other people did it. The way I do it is just fine, just gotta trust yourself!”
Chris elaborated, “I’ve always wanted my music to reach millions of people and, through the show, we were able to do that! It gave me the confidence to get back into music production and I’m so happy it did.”
