Trista Sutter Wishes Son Maxwell a Happy 14th Birthday in Sweet Tribute
Proud mom alert! Trista Sutter wished wish her son, Maxwell, a happy 14th birthday in a touching Instagram tribute shared on Monday.
“It started 14 years ago today when I had stayed overnight at the hospital and my doctor came in and said ‘you’re having a baby today!’” the original Bachelorette wrote, accompanied by a photo carousel of memories with Maxwell, whom she shares with husband Ryan Sutter. “At 36 weeks, he was ready to see the world and change our lives...in the best way.”
Trista — who also shares daughter Blakesley, 12, with Ryan — continued, “Our little peanut...who used to love a dinosaur book, his strider bike, diggers and white trucks, dancing to the TV, baby sister, and all kinds of silliness has grown to be taller than me and a true mountain boy just like his mountain man daddy.”
The franchise star went on to applaud Maxwell for his unique qualities and positive outlook on life.
“He has opened my eyes to what it means to want more for someone you love...to want a better world, a fairer shake, a brighter future,” she wrote. “He’s taught me to fight for more opportunity and ice time in the land of youth hockey, a hitch on my car to haul mountain bikes, family quality time, experiences in far away places, and a more carefree heart to let him learn the lessons to live this life without his mom picking him up from every fall.”
Trista — who lives in Colorado with her family — concluded, “To love this kid and share in the joys of watching him grow with @ryansutter has been one of the truest, purest, joys of my life. Happy 14th birthday, Maxwell Alston Sutter!!!”
