‘Happy Hour’: Lance Bass on Why He Was ‘Honored’ to Host ‘Paradise,’ Plus: His Predictions for Who Gets Engaged
Former *NSYNC bandmate Lance Bass made his Bachelor Nation debut as a guest host on Season 7 of “Bachelor in Paradise,” an experience the franchise superfan says was the “most fun I’ve ever had filming a show.”
Fans got to see Lance support Bachelor Nation stars during the difficult moments but also be there when sparks flew and connections were made. The musician stopped by “Bachelor Happy Hour” to chat with Becca Kufrin and Tia Booth all about his time in “Paradise.”
Lance shared how honored he was to be embraced into Bachelor Nation, saying, “I’m officially part of the ‘Bachelor’ family. Oh, my gosh! Trust me, this is going on the top of the résumé. I’m gonna be like, Yeah, I hosted ‘Bachelor in Paradise.’”
He loves the whole franchise but was excited to host “Paradise” in particular. “I was a huge fan of the show,” he said. “I’ve been a part of Bachelor Nation for quite a while. I’ve seen every season of ‘Bachelor’/’Bachelorette,’ and then when ‘Paradise’ began, I didn’t think I could love a show even more, so ‘Paradise’ is my jam.”
Lance continued, “I enjoy multiple people being able to find love. It’s more interesting for me to watch, and it’s just way more dramatic too.”
While he got to have heart-to-hearts with nearly everyone on the beach during his time as host, he said he really connected with Natasha Parker and Tahzjuan Hawkins. He said he loved the deep conversations, but he revealed that as a “Bachelor” fan, he was “trying to get the tea” from the contestants.
Like the rest of us, Bass is still watching “Paradise” unfold, but he’s rooting for a few couples in particular.

“I really liked Abigail and Noah,” he revealed. “I loved their story. I just saw a real spark between them, so I’m hoping that they go far. And then, of course, my couple, Riley and Maurissa. Who knew that was gonna go down so quickly? That date just sparked like no other. I could definitely see them getting engaged at the end of this thing.”
We’ll just have to wait and see!
Before Lance wrapped up his conversation with Tia and Becca, they asked if he’d want to come back and do more hosting within the Bachelor family.
Lance jumped right in, saying, “Are you kidding? I would be honored to come back and host some of these again! It was really the most fun I’ve ever had filming a show, even with 100 degrees and the crabs everywhere. I could do that 24/7.”
Tia and Becca noted that they’d love to see Lance host an episode of “Men Tell All” one day.
Now, that would be amazing!
