‘Talking It Out’: Serena Pitt Reveals Her Thoughts on Dating Before ‘Paradise’ and Shares Where She & Pieper James Stand Now
The drama on the beaches of “Bachelor in Paradise” Season 7 has been heavily centered around who was in a relationship prior to coming on the show.
From Brendan Morais and Pieper James to Chris Conran and Alana Milne, multiple couples have left the beach after being accused of starting their relationship before the show and only coming to “Paradise” for fame.
Their fellow “Paradise” star Serena Pitt stopped by “Talking It Out with Bachelor Nation” to discuss the drama and share her thoughts on dating before “Paradise.”
Serena revealed that while she and Pieper were friendly from Season 25 of “The Bachelor,” she hasn’t spoken to her since she left the beach with Brendan during “Paradise.”
The Bachelor Nation star said that Brendan and Pieper removing themselves from “Paradise” was the “right decision” and that especially after watching the show back, she’s standing by Natasha Parker’s side in that situation.

Serena explained, “I built a strong friendship with Natasha being on the beach, and her and Joe host a podcast together, so she was a great friend to me and I confided in her a lot because I did trust her, being a friend of Joe’s.”
She continued, “I just think that she’s a wonderful human being, so seeing her get hurt and watching it back and being privy to all of these moments and conversations that you don’t hear about, it’s shocking, to say the least. My heart goes out to Natasha. It’s a tough situation overall.”
Serena went on to discuss whether she would have gone to the beach if she had met Joe before “Paradise” and they hit it off.
“I think it’s hard to say. You can run all these scenarios, like, if we went on one date, is it okay? Or if we went on two dates, is that okay? But if you want to date that person, just date that person,” she said.
“If I had met Joe and I was on his podcast and he reached out to me and we went on two dates and I was like, ‘I think this could be my guy,’ I probably would’ve said, ‘Let’s not go on “Paradise” so we can stay here and date,’” Serena revealed.
Even after all this time has passed, Serena said that she still doesn’t know the whole story behind Brendan and Pieper’s relationship before filming.
“Frankly, I would say it’s a lot easier to date in the real world. So that’s my philosophy. To this day, I don’t understand the full extent of the Brendan/Pieper situation,” she said. “I don’t fully know what went down. But at the end of the day, if you’re not single, if you want to date someone, just don’t come to ‘Paradise.’”
