Nick Viall Does the ‘Michelle Young Apple Blind Taste Test’ Inspired by ‘The Bachelorette’s’ Rodney
Bring on the challenge!
On this season of “The Bachelorette,” one of Michelle Young’s suitors Rodney famously came dressed as an apple on night one.
When Michelle asked what kind of apple Rodney was, he hilariously said, “Granny Smith,” even though his costume was red and Granny Smiths are green.
Michelle decided to have some fun with Rodney during their one-on-one time and do an apple taste test to see if he could find the Granny Smith.
In the end, Rodney couldn’t pick out the Granny Smith, and while many fans online couldn’t believe he didn’t find the green apple, the taste test might be harder than it looked.
So former Bachelor Nick Viall decided to try the apple taste test for himself in a funny new Instagram video.
Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.
Nick captioned the video. “You don’t know how hard identifying a Granny Smith is until you’ve done the Michelle Young Apple #blindtaste yourself.”
The former Bachelor was presented with four apples (plus a bonus round, which was a pear) and he had to guess which apple was which.
Nick got the first one right, saying, “Not a Granny Smith, I’ll tell you that much. I’m gonna say that’s a Fuji.”
He guessed that the next apple was a Granny Smith when it was in fact a Pink Lady. For the actual Granny Smith, Nick guessed Honeycrisp, but when he got that wrong, he found the actual Honeycrisp next.
And as for the bonus round, Nick guessed it was a pear right away just based on the shape and feel.
Either way, he said the “Michelle Young Apple Blind Taste Test” was harder than it looked on TV, and the video quickly raked in tens of thousands of views.
So if you’re looking for something to do this week or just want a fun way to get some more fruit in your diet, grab a friend and try the challenge yourself!
