Joe Amabile, Natasha Parker & Tia Booth Dish on Michelle Young Balancing Teaching and Being the Bachelorette
As Michelle Young’s season of “The Bachelorette” unfolds and the world watches her look for love on TV, she is still balancing that with her life as a fifth-grade teacher.
Earlier this week, as the episode of “The Bachelorette” was airing, Michelle took to her Instagram Stories to reveal that she was in her classroom conducting parent-teacher conferences.
She said, “The reality of being the Bachelorette and a teacher at the same time. So many people are gearing up for tonight’s episode, and I’m gearing up for my last parent-teacher conference. Honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. You better believe when I’m finished, I’m hopping in my car and zooming home safely and I’m turning on ‘The Bachelorette.’”
And now, the hosts of “Click Bait with Bachelor Nation” are weighing in on how Michelle is balancing this double life as a teacher and as the Bachelorette.
Tia Booth said, “That’s big-time to go back to work, especially in that setting when your season is airing. Not even waiting until after, because it’s the school year, so Michelle is there at work. I love that.”
Natasha Parker agreed and raved about Michelle, both as a Bachelorette and as a person.
She said, “It’s grounding and that contributes to the person that she is. She’s like, ‘My love story is unfolding on TV, but I have priorities. And I have these things I need to do and these kids really matter to me.’ So I think that’s really great. I saw her story where she said she was doing parent-teacher conferences and I’m sure she’s having to be like, ‘Let’s talk about your kid. We aren’t talking about these men!’”
Natasha is right — those parents are probably trying to get Michelle to spill some tea! But for her, it’s all about the kids.
Joe Amabile chimed in on the conversation, saying, “Michelle clearly loves her job and to me that’s the meaning of life, just loving what you do. That’s what we’re all striving for. And I’m not just saying this. She is a fantastic Bachelorette. She really calls it the way it is. You’re not pulling a fast one on Michelle because she’s on it. Any rumors going on in the house, she doesn’t let it get out of hand. She calls it out, which is fun to watch.”
Joe’s co-hosts agreed, with Natasha adding, “She’s just leaning into things. This is real life. If Michelle doesn’t end up with someone at the end of this... how?! What are we all doing here, then? Because I just see the realness exuding from her and these guys.”
The “Click Bait” co-hosts couldn’t rave enough about Michelle and said they are loving watching her journey unfold.
Make sure to tune in on Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. ET on ABC to continue watching Michelle’s season of “The Bachelorette.”
