Carly Waddell Posts Update on Her Daughter Bella’s Dental Procedure and Why She Took a Break from Social Media
Fans first met Bachelor Nation star Carly Waddell on Season 19 of “The Bachelor,” and she returned to our screens for Seasons 2 and 3 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
Carly found love in “Paradise” and got engaged to fellow Bachelor Nation star Evan Bass. The two got married on Season 4 of “Paradise” and welcomed two children together during their marriage.
In December 2020, the couple announced their decision to split, but they’ve been co-parenting their kids Bella, 3, and Charlie, 2.
This week, Carly took to Instagram to share an update about their daughter Bella and a health issue she was facing.
Carly explained that Bella’s health and dental procedure are why she “hasn’t been as present on social media lately.”

Carly shared a video of her and Bella and got extremely candid in her caption, writing, “Here’s something I haven’t talked about. Bella had to go under anesthesia for a pretty big dental procedure two weeks ago. I honestly just felt like the worst mom ever.”
The Bachelor Nation star continued, “Bella has been obsessed with brushing her teeth basically her whole life and her first time at the dentist we got the news she had cavities in every molar and holes in her four canines, and she had to get two nerve treatments. Dentist said it could be caused by lots of things.”
And while Carly said her daughter didn’t respond well to the anesthesia, she is glad she is okay and healthy in every other way.
The mom wrote, “It was just really sad, she didn’t come out from going under well, and honestly it just replays in my mind how sad it was. We are so lucky we could save her teeth and now we call them her treasures. And we are so lucky she is healthy in every other way.”

Carly concluded her post writing, “I’m sure you will be seeing flashes of her treasures when she smiles those big smiles we all love her for,” and in the video Carly posted, Bella showed off her “treasures” with a sweet smile.
Fans flooded the comments of Carly’s post, sending both her and Bella love and thanking her for her honesty.
One person even wrote, “Not enough parents know the importance of 1. Early dental checkups (start around age 1), and 2. Flossing children’s teeth. Carly, you’re going to reach so many mama’s who didn’t know either! Thank you for sharing! I'm glad your sweet Bella is okay!”
We’re sending Carly and Bella love as well!
