Bryan Abasolo Reveals Why It Was Challenging to Watch His Season of ‘The Bachelorette’ Back
Bachelor Nation fans saw Bryan Abasolo and Rachel Lindsay fall in love and get engaged on Season 13 of “The Bachelorette.”
Since then, the two tied the knot in August 2019 in Mexico surrounded by family, friends, and fellow Bachelor Nation stars like Kristina Schulman, Astrid Loch, and Bibiana Julian.
And as Michelle Young’s season comes to an end, “Talking It Out with Bachelor Nation” co-host Bryan discussed on the podcast what it must be like watching the show back for whoever Michelle picked.
While Bryan and Rachel are still very much in love, he revealed that it wasn’t always easy to watch his season of “The Bachelorette.”

The Bachelor Nation star said, “It’s tough, man, I’ll be honest. It was like therapy because we wouldn’t always watch the show back together. I watched the first episode with my friends, which was a great episode for me, despite what Twitter said. But after that, I never watched another episode with anyone else. I just wanted to watch it by myself. I wouldn’t talk to Rachel during the episode, but I would talk to her after and she would explain to me the things she was going through.”
Bryan continued, explaining what it was like to watch Rachel have intimate moments with other men from her season.
He said, “If I saw intimate moments with other people, I was prepared for that and okay with that because I knew it was going to happen. I had to be like a horse with blinders on. I had to just focus on my relationship and didn’t worry about what she was doing with other dudes. If you take the energy away from you enhancing your relationship with the Bachelor/Bachelorette, you already lost. I think that’s where a lot of guys were on my season.”
Bryan’s co-host Mike Johnson asked Bryan what made him want to watch his season back in the first place if he and Rachel were happy.

Bryan explained that he wanted to see how it all happened, saying, “I just wanted to see it. I just wanted to see how everything unfolded because I wasn’t privy to a lot of the things that were coming out on social media and in the blogs, so I needed to see it for myself.”
He added, “I’d rather see it than not see it and hear the constant rumors and all this stuff. I wanted to see it, talk to her about it, squash it, and move on. Honestly, I think that’s the best way to move forward in that situation.”
Clearly, it worked for Rachel and Bryan, as they’ve stood the test of time!
