Bachelor Nation fans and the Bachelor Clayton were both swept off their feet by Teddi on night one of his season.

Teddi famously received both the first kiss and the First Impression Rose from Clayton, proving she really left a mark on his heart right away.

Now she’s stopping by the “Click Bait with Bachelor Nation” podcast to discuss all things Clayton, receiving the First Impression Rose, and why she decided to share that she’s a virgin.

Teddi started off by sharing why that moment coming out of the limo was so important for her: She not only wanted to make an impression on Clayton but she wanted to see if she was interested in him.

The Bachelor Nation star said, “I put a lot of pressure on that first moment out of the limo. For me, the first time I meet a guy, I want to feel a spark with them right away. I put even more pressure on it because we didn’t know who he was beforehand.”

She continued, “I wanted to know right away that it was the right decision to be there. And as soon as I started talking to him, I just felt so comfortable. I truly felt right then and there that I was supposed to be there. On my end, I already knew I really liked him, but I wasn’t sure if he liked me.”

As the night went on, Teddi said she could tell there was a spark on her end, but she didn’t know if Clayton felt the same, saying, “I felt like we had really good banter, but I also felt like he was just confident, so I wasn’t sure if it us together that was going well or if he was just a good talker. After the first conversation, though, I felt good.”

But after their one-on-one time, she said she started to become more confident she’d receive a rose, though she wasn’t sure if it would be the First Impression Rose.

Teddi explained, “After talking to him, I definitely felt like I’d be there the next day, but I saw some of his other conversations, so I didn’t think I had it in the bag. But I felt like I could maybe be in the running for First Impression Rose. He was just really validating really early on and that helped me so much. I was hopeful and it worked out.”

And so far, Teddi said that she’s enjoying watching it back, saying, “I learned really early on with him that we both felt comfortable together and at peace being around each other. So it was cool to see that and look back on those first moments.”

Aside from receiving the First Impression Rose and the very first kiss of the season, during the premiere, Teddi also opened up about her virginity.

She shared more with the “Click Bait” co-hosts and said she is very open when it comes to talking about it and has no issues talking about her reasoning behind this decision.

Teddi said, “I usually discuss it really early on with guys that I’ve dated in the past. I’m not a very stereotypical virgin. No one really expects that I am. It’s not that I’m waiting until marriage, so it’s a little bit different from other people that are virgins.”

She shared why she made the decision to not have sex, saying, “During college, I thought that maybe I would wait until marriage. I grew up in a very Christian household and I’m still Christian. The college that I went to was Christian and I think after I graduated, I looked back at my values and beliefs and my virginity was one I always went back to. I wondered if I was actually doing it because it was bettering myself or if because there is a lot of shame associated with women having sex and it changing their identity as a person. For me, it was more connected to not wanting to take away from my identity and that wasn’t a good enough reason for me.”

Teddi continued, revealing, “I am a sexual person and I think that women should be. They should be happy and proud of that. I changed my thinking to thinking that I’ve waited this long, I want to wait until I’m in love.”

Natasha commended Teddi for her maturity and said that she loves how she is waiting for “real love.”
