‘The Bachelor’s’ Sierra Explains Why She Told Clayton about Cassidy’s Off-Screen Relationship
Bachelor Nation fans are getting to know Sierra on Clayton’s season of “The Bachelor.”
She has swept Bachelor Nation off their feet with her incredible looks and her ability to speak up when she feels something isn’t right.
Sierra famously told Clayton about Cassidy’s friend with benefits she had at home who she was FaceTiming with just before filming began.
Clayton had already given Cassidy a rose, but he ended up taking it back and sending Cassidy home after she lied about this off-screen relationship.
Now Sierra is stopping by the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast to reveal why she decided to go to Clayton with this information about Cassidy.
She told co-hosts Becca Kufrin and Serena Pitt about what went through her head when Cassidy first told her and Ency about this off-screen relationship.

Sierra said, “The first thing to go through my head was why was she telling me this? As she shared this information, Ency and I were the only ones who knew and we didn’t want to blow it up throughout the house because what good is that going to do? It was just going to piss everyone off. I was just really putting myself in Clayton’s shoes, so part of me didn’t want to say anything at all.”
The Bachelor Nation star continued on, adding that she also didn’t want to waste her precious time with Clayton talking about someone else.
Sierra explained, “I wanted to get to know him and we don’t get a lot of time with him at all, so the time you do get you want to utilize to the best of your ability. But at the same time, I was thinking about if I was him and I was in his shoes, I would be beyond pissed if a man sat down and had a date with me and kissed me, but in the back of his mind he had this other information.”
She added, “Keeping information to yourself that you might have someone else at home is setting Clayton up for failure. If you really care about someone and if you’re having a real relationship with that person, you do not keep things from them. You are going to be honest and open, even if it ends up being detrimental to you. That’s just the truth.”
So Sierra decided that if Cassidy wasn’t going to tell Clayton, she had to do the right thing.
She said, “I had to put myself aside when it came to being able to have a good time with him and tell him what was really going on. It sucked that I had to tell him that, it sucks I had to waste my time, and it sucks he had to even hear that because it’s embarrassing because he just gave her a rose. But it was going to be even more embarrassing if he kept her.”
