EXCLUSIVE: Brandon Jones Shares His Dream Valentine’s Day Date Nights at Different Price Points
Celebrate love with Bachelor Nation!
Valentine’s Day is approaching, and here at Bachelor Nation, we love any excuse to cheers to love.
We sat down with Bachelor Nation fan favorite Brandon Jones, from Season 18 of “The Bachelorette,” to chat about his dream Valentine’s Day dates.
These aren’t just any dates, though — these are dates at a variety of price points.
Check out Brandon’s exclusive interview below!
Bachelor Nation: What would you do for a date with a budget of $0?
Brandon Jones: With a $0 budget, I would wake up early to go on a walk in search of a nearby rose or flowers I could pick to give to my valentine. I would then make a little picnic basket for us with food I have at home then head to one of my favorite nearby viewpoints. We would walk to the viewpoint talking and picking each others brains. We would have a picnic on the hill until the moment we see the sunset. Then I would hold my valentine looking at both beautiful views until one of them sets and I am left with her.
BN: Oh my gosh, what romantic ideas for a free date! Okay, now, what would you do for a date with a budget of $10?
BJ: With $10, I would take $8 of it and split it between me and my valentine. We would head to the dollar store to go on a scavenger hunt in picking out four things that best describe us. I would take the other $2 to buy a disposable camera. We would walk around the city making memories and I would capture each moment with the camera until it runs out.
BN: Such a cute idea! Next up, what would you do for a date with a budget of $100?
BJ: With $100, I would start off the day by spending ($10) on 2,000 rose petals from Amazon. I would cover the room in rose petals leading to a path that would surprise her with mimosas and breakfast ($20). We would head to a canvas painting/drinking wine class where we would be able to learn how to paint canvases followed by enjoying a bottle of wine ($50). This is important because the way to my Ma’s heart is by painting and since I’m awful at it, one of us has to be good. I would take the last ($20) to go to the store so we could bake/make our favorite dessert at home. I would play music, 2000s R&B of course, bake, dance in the living room, and enjoy each other’s company until the day ends.
BN: What an incredible all-day date! Last but not least, what would you do for a date with a budget of $1,000?
BJ: With $1,000, I would wake up my valentine with kisses and an envelope. It would entail our itinerary for the day and a picture of a beachfront hotel stay for you, me, and Mac, my little doggo, to stay at for the day ($250). First stop on the itinerary, the envelope would include a coupon to go shopping for my valentine. I would go with her to pick out a dress for the night. One that complements her beauty and also gives her peace of mind so that she would not have to worry about what to wear before dinner ($200). Next we would fill the back of my truck with blankets, pillows, games, and food before we hit the road ($50). We would enjoy our day on the beach in the beautiful weather, play with my dog, swim, and lay in the bed of the truck talking and get a nice nap in before dinner. I’m an old soul, I’m sorry. We would then get ready for dinner and head out to this beautiful beachfront restaurant. I would talk to the owner who is a friend of mine about a secluded table I had set up along the beach. It would be covered in rose petals, candles, and I would have my valentine’s favorite flowers laid out for her ($200). The last surprise during dinner, I would have the hotel room set up with a chocolate fountain, desserts, Valentine’s Day roses, balloons, and our favorite wine ($200). But most importantly I would have a note I would give to Mac hold in his mouth for my valentine. It would be a note of all the things that make her so special to me, and how this person truly completes me. I would then bring out a necklace that connects to a similar necklace I would be wearing. That whether we are together or apart, you’ll always be my other half and nothing could come between that ($100).
BN: Now THAT’S a perfect date! Happy Valentine’s Day, Brandon!
