EXCLUSIVE: Aaron Clancy & James Bonsall Reveal What Bachelor Nation Fans Don’t Know About Them, Plus: How The Show Impacted Their Dating Lives
Bachelor Nation fan favorite BFFs Aaron Clancy and James Bonsall stopped by for an exclusive chat with BachelorNation.com.
The two might not have found love on “The Bachelorette” or “Bachelor in Paradise,” but they found each other and have created one of the most iconic bromances to come from the shows.
Now, Aaron and James opened up about how they’ve processed their experience on the shows now that they’ve had some time away from filming.
Aaron said, “It feels surreal that it wasn’t that long ago that I didn’t even know this guy. It feels like just yesterday and also a lifetime ago at the same time. A lot has happened since then!”
And James chimed in, saying, “It feels like we were just there last week. There are a lot of new relationships I’ve made that I’m forever grateful for. Obviously, I didn’t find love, but I met my boy through it. It’s a different kind of love!”

James also shared how his experience on the shows changed how he moves through dating, saying, “What I’ve realized from ‘The Bachelorette’ and ‘Paradise,’ regardless of time spent, you can’t force anything. Things should feel easy and natural. Whenever you feel like you’re forcing it, that’s probably a sign that you should cut ties.”
And Aaron got candid, saying, “In ‘Paradise,’ I went through some of the worst dating scenarios that could happen, so now in real life, even the bad stuff actually doesn’t seem so bad.”
And both guys shared a fun fact about the other that fans might not know.
James revealed, “Aaron is seen as tall, dark, and handsome, but deep down, he has a really sensitive side that a lot of people don’t know about. He has a softer side!”
And Aaron said, “On the show, James may have been a little bit more censored and he held back a little more than I did, but he’s way weirder than I am. He even has pipes. He can sing!”
James chimed back in, saying, “I can’t really sing, but I’ll float on a bar every once in a while!”
