Michelle Young Reveals What It Was Like to Meet Rihanna and Whether She Was Starstruck
In case you missed it, Michelle Young is joining Becca Kufrin as the official co-host of the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast.
On their very first episode together, Michelle and Becca caught up about everything that’s been going on since Michelle and her fiancé Nayte Olukoya got engaged on Michelle’s season finale of “The Bachelorette.”
Becca couldn’t help but ask Michelle what it was like to meet Rihanna last month after photos of the two of them on the red carpet went viral.

The former Bachelorette shared, “I typically do not get starstruck, but that was pretty cool. Rihanna came through at her event and walked through the crowd and spots me and points at me. She was like ‘Oh my gosh, Michelle!’ It took me a few seconds to realize it was real.”
Michelle continued, “I didn’t even have to introduce myself! But in those situations, for me, celebrities are just human. Rihanna is just a human like me. But it was pretty cool for her to talk to me and Nayte about Nayte’s hometown. It was a special moment!”
Becca continued to fangirl over the iconic moment and asked Michelle if she’s still in contact with Rihanna after snapping those pics.
Michelle joked, “Yeah, we text every once in a while! Just kidding! But should I? I don’t know. Maybe we should shoot our shot to have her on the podcast. I can slide into her DMs and be like, ‘Hey, remember me?’”
