Ashley Iaconetti Haibon Shares Important Message on Postpartum Body Image and Self-Love
Bachelor Nation fans know that Ashley Iaconetti Haibon and Jared Haibon welcomed their first child together in January.
The couple has been sharing adorable photos and videos of their son Dawson on social media since he came into the world, and we can’t get enough of his cuteness!
And throughout her entire pregnancy journey, Ashley was extremely candid about the challenging side of the experience, including her struggles with throwing up, hormonal acne, and more.
Now that she’s a few months postpartum, Ashley just answered some fan questions and got candid about post-pregnancy weight loss.
During an Instagram Q&A, one fan asked Ashley how her “body bounced back so fast” after giving birth and Ashley got real with her answer.
She said that she received this question a lot, so she wanted to talk about it, sharing, “I am definitely not the norm. I am about five pounds away from my ‘upper normal’ weight about 10 weeks after giving birth. I gained about 35 pounds during my pregnancy and in my third trimester, I ate with reckless regard.”
Ashley also shared that her mom lost her baby weight in a similar way, so she thinks her experience has been “very genetic.”
Aside from talking about her own postpartum journey, Ashley shared an important message to other moms.
She wrote, “Please don’t stress about the pregnancy weight. Don’t worry about how much you gain and don’t worry about how fast you lose it or if you lose it at all! Just focus on being mentally and physically healthy. If you can only sit on the couch and eat like me, that’s fine too. All of this is tough and emotional.”
Ashley continued on, saying, “When I’m stressed, I remind myself that my family is happy, healthy, and safe and that’s what’s important. Plus, you’re still hot! You’re the only one noticing your weight probably.”
And the Bachelor Nation star shared a tip to make yourself feel better that has nothing to do with weight loss.
She said, “I know you still want to feel good for yourself, so figure out something to help you do that. For me, it’s putting a little extra effort into my makeup that day.”
We know that Ashley’s honesty and candidness will help others going through their postpartum journey, and we love how she continues to share this journey with her followers.
