Sydney Hightower Shares How Her Fiancé, NFL Star Fred Warner, Proposed to Her
Fans remember Sydney Hightower from Season 24 of “The Bachelor,” and while things didn’t work out with Peter Weber, Sydney has continued to share her life with fans on social media.
Shortly after her time on “The Bachelor,” Sydney met her fiancé, NFL star Fred Warner, and the two have been inseparable since.
Sydney and Fred announced their engagement in May 2021 and are in the thick of planning their dreamy San Diego wedding for June 25 of this year.
And as they’re amid the wedding planning process, Sydney stopped by the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast to share the story of how Fred proposed to her.
Sydney started off by sharing, “He told me after we got engaged that he had been holding onto the ring for three months and just didn’t know when to do it. We went to my hometown in Alabama and he thought he was going to do it there, but it wasn’t right.”

Eventually Fred landed on proposing in one of their favorite spots to go together, Napa Valley.
The Bachelor Nation star told co-hosts Becca Kufrin and Michelle Young, “We ended up going to Napa, which is close to us living in the Bay Area, because I love wine and wine country. He knows someone that owns a winery out there and contacted them about proposing.”
She continued on, saying, “They set it all up and asked me to go for a day in Napa. I didn’t know for sure he was going to propose, I just had a feeling he might. We always dated with a purpose, so I knew it was coming sooner or later. It was just so beautiful, and he proposed somewhere that we absolutely love. Even what he said in the moment, it was just so special.”
The two recently bought their first home together and couldn’t be happier to be getting married in a few months.

During her conversation with Becca and Michelle, Sydney also shared that she and Fred met because of her time on “The Bachelor.”
His family saw her on the show and encouraged him to send her a DM on Instagram.
Sydney said, “The show brings people together in the weirdest ways. It’s the biggest blessing I’ve ever had in my life. It wasn’t as great as I wanted in the moment. But looking back, I would never have been where I am in life and I wouldn’t have found the man I’m going to spend the rest of my life with if I hadn’t been on ‘The Bachelor.’ It’s just crazy.”
