This Week in Bachelor Nation History: JoJo Fletcher Starts Her Journey as the Bachelorette

This week in Bachelor Nation history, we’re looking back on JoJo Fletcher’s premiere of Season 12 of “The Bachelorette!”
She started her journey on May 23, 2016. As fans recall, JoJo’s night one was jam-packed with surprise guests, one of her men in a Santa costume, a unicorn, former Bachelorettes, and more!
Jordan Rodgers famously received JoJo’s First Impression Rose. He eventually received her final rose as well.
The two just got married on May 14, 2022, which was almost six years to the day from when they first met.
At the end of JoJo’s season, Jordan got down on one knee and proposed, saying, “I love you so much. I fell in love first with just us, just the person I could be right away with you, how comfortable and confident and how you challenged me and continue to challenge me to be the best version of myself, I love that.”
Jordan continued on, saying, “You made me believe that love doesn't need to have scripts and there's not one way to draw it up. There's moments like this where I'm holding your hand and looking into your eyes, and I know. I'm so unbelievably in love with you. You're my best friend. You're my soulmate. I'm gonna keep you safe, I'm gonna protect you. I'm gonna wake up every morning and choose you over and over and over again until you tell me I can't."
JoJo responded with, “I just want to tell you how I feel. ‘Cause I don't know if I've done that fully yet. Jordan I love you so much. I've been waiting to tell you that I love you. I didn't want you to get down on one knee until you knew that!”
We love JoJo and Jordan’s love story and are so excited for them as they start this next chapter of their lives as husband and wife.
