Katie Maloney Shares an Update on Her Dating Life Amid Her Divorce From Tom Schwartz
The Bachelor Nation x Vanderpump crossover you didn’t know you needed!
“Vanderpump Rules” star Katie Maloney stopped by the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast where she caught up with co-hosts Becca Kufrin and Michelle Young.
The three talked about everything from reality TV friendships to public breakups to dating and everything in between.
As fans know, Katie and her ex-husband Tom Schwartz announced they filed for divorce earlier this year after 12 years together and three years of marriage.
After being in a very public relationship on “Vanderpump Rules” for the past decade, Katie shared an update on her dating life with Becca and Michelle.
Becca asked Katie if she’s started dating again and Katie said, “I’m not trying to get a boyfriend or a relationship, but I’m having fun. I like going out and flirting and I’ve been on a date. For me, it’s just fun. All the guys are like 28, which is good because there’s no pressure there.”

And Michelle chimed in asking she Katie is “pro dating apps or no dating apps?”
Katie responded candidly revealing, “No apps for me, at least for now. They freak me out. By the time I was dating Tom that was pre-apps so I have zero experience with the apps. I’m old fashioned though.”
She continued on saying, “All the people on the apps are out in the world, I’d rather go to places that I like to hangout and I imagine if they’re there that would be the company I’d want to be with. I don’t have any qualms about going up to a fella who I think is cute and saying hello.”
During their conversation, Katie and Becca also bonded over going through very public breakups and thankfully, Katie said she’s in a place where she doesn’t care what other people think about her and Tom’s split.
She said, “I had to train myself over the years to really not give a f**k what the public thinks. That doesn’t mean I don’t ever think about it, but when it came to this, I knew people were going to have opinions and it doesn’t matter what anyone else has to say about it. This is ultimately my life.”
