EXCLUSIVE: Diggy Moreland Celebrates Father’s Day with Bachelor Nation!
Celebrating Father’s Day!
Fans first met Bachelor Nation star Diggy Moreland on Season 13 of “The Bachelorette,” and he returned to our screens for Seasons 4 and 5 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
After his time on Bachelor franchise shows, Diggy found love with his girlfriend Jen, and the two welcomed a baby girl in June 2021.
Now, Diggy is stopping by to chat with BachelorNation.com exclusively about Father’s Day and what it means to him to be a dad.
Check out Diggy’s full interview below!
Bachelor Nation: Happy Father’s Day, Diggy! We wanted to start off by asking what being a dad means to you.
Diggy Moreland: It means I’m guaranteed one day a year I can golf guilt-free. Haha, all jokes aside, it means I can have a leading role in helping my daughter be the best person she can be while experiencing life to the fullest.

BN: Ha! Love both of those answers. In addition to golfing, what is your ideal way to celebrate Father’s Day?
DM: My idea way to celebrate Father’s Day is with pancakes, BBQ, and someone waiting on me hand and foot! That’s one way… The other way? 18 or 36 holes of golf! Also, both options have to include some sort of liquor. Tequila is preferred.
BN: Sounds like a great day! How has fatherhood changed you?
DM: It’s made me really think about what’s important in life. It’s also made me think about decisions from beginning to end. When it was just me? I’d make decisions and then deal with the outcomes, good or bad. Now? I think about all sides of most decisions I make.
BN: That makes a lot of sense. What has surprised you most about being a dad?
DM: The thing that surprised me the most is that you think about your kid even when they’re not with you. I’m not talking about: “Oh, I miss Teddie.” I’m talking: “I’m tired as hell from not getting any sleep last night. This is all Teddie’s fault!” Or, you go out shopping for yourself and you end up with a carload of things for an 8-month-old that’s not even with you. Yea, that’s what’s surprised me the most I’d say.

BN: It’s definitely a major adjustment! Do you have any advice for fellow parents?
DM: Enjoy the journey. Take the manual and set it on fire. What works for others works for them, and probably not you, so don’t even try it. No need to compare yourselves to others either. And last but not least: Your kid is more happy playing with the box that the toy came in more than the actual toy. Save your money!
BN: So true! If she could, how would Teddie describe you?
DM: Fun-loving, enjoyable, annoying, loving, and annoying again.
BN: Sweet! Do you have a favorite part of fatherhood so far?
DM: Seeing Teddie smile at me, and seeing the milestones as we hit them. She used to hate tummy time… now she crawls all over the house. It’s crazy!
BN: It’s wild how fast they grow up! As a dad, what do you hope Teddie learns from you as she grows up?
DM: I hope she learns to care about others just as much as she cares about herself. Also, don’t take life too seriously.

BN: Those are some great lessons. What is your proudest moment as a dad so far?
DM: My proudest moment as a dad is taking her out by myself and bringing her back after a few hours in one piece. Honorable mention: Installing a car seat.
BN: Those are definitely things to be proud of! Last but not least, would you let Teddie watch your Bachelor Nation journey one day?
DM: Yup. Up until the part I get rejected… then it has to get turned off.
BN: Ha! Love it. Thank you for chatting with us, Diggy. Happy Father’s Day!
