Rachel Recchia & Gabby Windey Dish on the Fantasy Suites and Watching the Show Back
The Bachelorettes are opening up!
After their highly anticipated premiere episode, Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia are discussing their season of “The Bachelorette.”
The two stopped by both “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and E!’s “Daily Pop” to chat about their season so far.
Rachel opened up about how it’s different being on the leading side rather than vying for the Bachelor’s heart.
She said, “It’s just so different when you’re on the other side. You’re dating the same guy and have no idea what’s happening. But as the lead, it’s hard in a different way. You’re juggling these relationships and having to make really hard decisions. They’re both pretty tough, but I would say it’s a bit easier on this side as Bachelorettes. We definitely had a little more control.”
And Gabby agreed, adding, “Coming off ‘The Bachelor,’ we both grew and felt empowered, so we’re grateful to have our own journey now.”
The two also discussed the question on everyone’s mind: What happens if they fall for the same guy?
Rachel said, “Everyone is wondering what will happen if we fall for the same guy, but we came into this as such good friends. We always put our friendship above any of the guys, of course she is going to come first. We really just spoke to each other throughout the whole process, and naturally we would think some of the same guys were attractive, but we really do have different taste.”
Gabby also chimed in, saying, “It was honestly easy having Rachel by my side. We have such a good friendship and we don’t keep anything from each other. If anything, it was not about competition at all and more about support.”
And the two also shared what it was like to watch the show back, with Gabby saying, “It feels like we were just there yesterday watching it all back. It gets you right back into that energy and to the headspace you were in.”
Rachel agreed, adding, “It’s definitely tough to watch back at times. Anytime you relive it, it really brings you back to that moment.”
She also said, “We probably cried more than any Bachelorette ever. I’d be willing to bet!”
The two also discussed the Fantasy Suites and Rachel noted that it’s actually a really important time to get to know your men.
She said, “I feel like what a lot of people don’t know is it’s your one time off camera to talk to the other person. It’s your first time you really have a conversation that’s not in front of a camera. It’s so important however you choose to use it.”
Check out both of their full interviews and make sure to tune in to “The Bachelorette” on Mondays at 8 p.m. ET or stream on Hulu!
