Becca Kufrin & Michelle Young Discuss Finding Jacob’s Conversation with Gabby Particularly Upsetting
Breaking it down.
On this week’s episode of “Bachelor Happy Hour,” co-hosts Michelle Young and Becca Kufrin discussed the heated dynamic on this week’s episode of “The Bachelorette.”
As the two women decided who they wanted to continue on their journey with, the men also were picking sides and some of them struggled to do so.
Rachel had three roses rejected during the Rose Ceremony and was brought to tears.
Gabby also struggled on the group date, as some of the men used hurtful words as they explained why Rachel is better suited for them than she is.
Jacob’s conversation with Gabby was a point of contention for Becca and Michelle, as they couldn’t believe what he was saying.

In case you needed a refresher, during his chat with Gabby, Jacob said, “I really wanted to talk to you because I feel like we can joke around and have fun, but I don’t know if we’ve had the connection that I wanted to have with you from the get-go. If you were the only person here, I don’t think I would have the heart to continue. At the end of the day, we’re trying to find someone to spend the rest of our lives with. Obviously, you’re smoking, though.”
Becca was first to open up about how this conversation made her feel.
She said, “The conversation that really irked me wasn’t actually with Hayden, it was with Jacob. He didn’t even say much, but ever since night one when Jacob was reading that list, I was like, just stop. This is not his season.”

Becca went on, saying, “And he told Gabby that he was more into Rachel and if it was just Gabby there he would send himself home, but that she’s smoking hot. Go kick dirt, Jacob. That is not going to make Gabby feel better. Okay, cool, thanks, that’s not going to make any woman in that situation feel remotely better. Just stop talking while you’re ahead.”
Michelle couldn’t have agreed more with her co-host and shared that she also found the interaction to be extremely upsetting.
Michelle said, “Who taught you that?! It makes no sense. Relationships can get romanticized, right, and that can be a part of relationships and it can be this magical thing. But this is the man that rode in on a horse as a knight, and that’s what you end with?! If we’re going off ‘The Notebook’ and romantic novels, this isn’t a part of it, ever!”
