Gabby & Rachel Reveal Behind-the-Scenes Details from Filming, Including a Prank They Pulled on the Men
Spilling the tea!
Bachelorettes Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia stopped by the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast to discuss the first few weeks of their season.
The leading ladies shared some behind-the-scenes details with co-hosts Michelle Young and Becca Kufrin that viewers didn’t see on-screen.
First, Becca asked Gabby and Rachel more about Rachel sending Jordan V. home on her first one-on-one date of the season.
Many fans were upset about this decision and wondered if Gabby would’ve wanted a chance to get to know Jordan V.

So Rachel cleared the air, saying, “It was crazy. No one ever expected the scenario of sending someone home on our first one-on-one date, so we didn’t have a plan for it. As it was all happening and I was crying, I did call up Gabby. I woke her up from a deep sleep to take my call. We definitely had a full conversation about it and decided sending him home was the best decision for both of us.”
Gabby also chimed in, saying that she and Rachel had extensive conversations about who they were taking on their first one-on-one dates and the other person’s feelings toward those men.
She said, “Our early one-on-ones, we picked people that we knew the other person didn’t feel a connection with at all, like Jordan V. and Nate. Rachel didn’t even really need to check with me because I’m going to support her no matter what and it wasn’t even a thought. I can understand when watching it back why people were confused, but our friendship is so good and always comes first.”
Michelle went on and asked the Bachelorettes if there were any other important off-screen moments from these first four episodes that fans didn’t get to see.
Gabby shared a funny prank that she and Rachel pulled on Tino and Jason during their one-on-one dates in Paris.

Gabby said, “They kind of teased this scene in one trailer, but after our one-on-one dates in Paris, Rachel and I got to meet up afterwards and Rachel wanted to pull a prank and I was on board. So she wanted to tell the guys that we had such a good day together, but we think it would be best if we could switch for the night portion to see if we were interested in the other person’s date.”
She went on, saying, “Their faces dropped. They thought we were being so serious, but nope, not interested at all. Tino was like, ‘Honestly, that sounds like hell.’”
