Madi Prewett Reveals How She Knew Her Fiancé Grant Troutt Was ‘The One’ and Dishes on His ‘Swag’

In May, Madi Prewett — who famously found love and eventually parted ways with Peter Weber on Season 24 of “The Bachelor” — announced her first relationship since the show.
At the time, Madi took to Instagram to share a series of photos with her boyfriend Grant Troutt, son of famous billionaire Kenny Troutt.
And just last week, Madi announced that she and Grant are engaged! Alongside a series of photos from their beachside proposal, the Bachelor Nation star wrote, “7.31.22. You were worth the wait.”
In their first joint interview since their engagement, the two revealed more about their relationship during an Amazon Live.

Madi said, “That day that Grant proposed literally changed our lives. And some people think eight months is short, but you know, honestly when you know, you know.”
She also revealed why they don’t want to wait too long to tie the knot, saying, “Something that we have made a commitment to do is to pursue purity and to wait until marriage, and so because of that we’re not trying to have a super long engagement. And so because of that we’re like…, ‘Let’s wrap this up! How quickly can we go?!’”
And during the conversation, Madi revealed the moment she knew Grant was the one for her.
She started off by saying, “So we have the most incredible, just amazing conversation, so life-giving, so challenging, so inspiring. I had never met someone that had my same level of passion and woo… and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, I’m blown away.’”

Madi went on, adding, “But then there was part of me that was like, ‘Does he have this swag?’… Is there another side of him where we can just turn on some Justin Bieber, some Drake, and just chill and vibe?”
And he exceeded her expectations. She said, “We get in the car and he opens my door and he’s like, ‘Do you mind if we just drive around downtown and I just turn on some Drake…?’ And I was like, ‘Do you want to just get married right now?’”
Madi also told People that she’s been waiting to find a man like Grant, saying, “I have waited for this day my whole life. I am so excited that it’s finally here. He is everything I have prayed for, waited for, and dreamed of my whole life. He was definitely worth the wait.”
