Nate Spills on ‘Bachelor’ Rumors and Addresses How He’d Handle Being the Lead as a Dad
Could Nate be the next Bachelor?!
Bachelor Nation fans watched Nate and Gabby’s love story unfold and come to an end on Season 19 of “The Bachelorette.”
Since their split, there’s been conversation around whether or not Nate would take on the leading role for the next season of “The Bachelor.”
Now, Nate is stopping by the “Talking It Out with Bachelor Nation” podcast, where he opened up about the rumors.
Co-hosts Mike Johnson and Bryan Abasolo asked Nate if he’s interested in being the Bachelor or if he turned the offer down.

Nate said, “As far as ‘The Bachelor’ goes, it’s not for me right now. I don’t think it’s for me right now. I don’t think I would ever make a decision based on incentives. It has been the right timing. The timing is not right right now.”
He went on saying that while the timing isn’t right at the moment, he thinks he’d be great at the role one day.
“I think I would kill it as the Bachelor, I would do well. I would go into it with the mindset that I’m looking for love but that everyone that’s there is trying to do the same. I wouldn’t put my feelings above anyone else’s,” Nate explained.
As for whether or not he turned the offer down to be the Bachelor for next season, Nate said he stepped away.
He said, “When I stepped away there was an understanding. I am still on good terms with everybody, but for the most part I’m not thinking about being the Bachelor in the future and there weren’t any discussions about doing anything in the future.”
One of the reasons the timing isn’t right for Nate right now is because of how young his daughter Mila is.

He said, “There are so many factors that come into it with children, like the time away. Being away from her and her being involved are layered. Obviously, I don’t just parade her around with anybody. There are so many things that come into play with wanting to do the lead role as it is, then you add a child into it, there’s a lot of discussions to be had as a parent with the child. It would be difficult.”
