Topher Grace Reveals His Pick for Bachelor, Plus: Becca & Michelle Spill on Fantasy Suite Conversations
Bachelor Nation superfan!
Topher Grace is known for his work as an actor in hit series like “That ’70s Show,” “Home Economics,” “Black Mirror,” and more.
What you might not know about him is that he and his wife Ashley Hinshaw are diehard fans of the Bachelor franchise.
This week, he stopped by the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast to dish on “After the Final Rose” with co-hosts Becca Kufrin and Michelle Young.
Topher asked Becca and Michelle about Aven and Rachel’s conversation about him not being ready to propose.
From a fan’s perspective, Topher asked the former Bachelorettes why they don’t have these conversations about whether they’re ready for a proposal during the Fantasy Suites off-camera.

Michelle responded, “How do you know that we don’t talk about that kind of stuff? My response to this is that a lot of times it’s not necessarily about the physical ring of it. It’s the fact that at this point in your life, the other relationships you’ve tried to find haven’t worked out for one reason or another.”
She went on, adding, “For me, it was less about the physical ring and more about taking the risk and wondering if that person is willing to commit to somebody. It was more about the commitment and less about the engagement or proposal.”
Becca chimed in, saying, “In this situation with Rachel and Aven, he did say he wanted to leave there with her and that he did see a life with her. He just didn’t know if it was the right time for the physical ring.”
And speaking of Aven, while things didn’t work out between Aven and Rachel, Topher revealed he’d be interested in seeing him as the next lead.

Topher said, “I actually did like Aven and could see him being a good Bachelor. I know I’ve given him a little bit of crap, but I’ve been in that position where I really didn’t want to hurt that person’s feelings, but I had something to say that was the opposite of what they wanted to hear. I do think he really wanted to be with Rachel.”
Topher also shared another dream pick for a friend of his who he wants to see as the Bachelor one day.
Topher said, “The other person I’d love to see as the Bachelor is Jimmy Tatro, who plays my brother in ‘Home Economics.’ He is in a relationship right now, but I think he would be a great Bachelor. Let’s say if it didn’t work out in his relationship, I think that guy would crush it. I also think Grandpa John also needs his own spin-off. He seems like the coolest dude!”
We love a Grandpa John stan! To hear more of Topher’s conversation with Becca and Michelle, check out the full episode of “Bachelor Happy Hour” below.
