Why Is Rachel Facing More Criticism than Gabby? Mike & Bryan Dish on ‘The Bachelorette’ Finale

Bachelor Nation fans are watching Rachel and Gabby’s season of “The Bachelorette” come to an end.
The leading ladies’ journey to find love on-screen comes to an end next week in “After the Final Rose” part two.
And as the romance and drama continue to unfold, “Talking It Out with Bachelor Nation” co-hosts Mike Johnson and Bryan Abasolo are asking the hard-hitting questions.
The two discussed how they noticed Rachel was facing more criticism online from fans than Gabby was, and they tried to break down why that might be the case, given their situations and hopes are very similar.

Bryan asked his co-host Mike, “Do you feel like people are giving too much flak to Rachel when essentially Gabby is wanting an engagement as well and also potentially might not get it?”
And Mike shared why he thinks Rachel might be dealing with more trolls than Gabby right now.
The Bachelor Nation star said, “I’m glad we’re speaking about this. I do feel that Rachel is getting undue extra flak in comparison to Gabby. I think it’s just because Gabby is more quirky and comical. She comes across a bit more comical and people love that.”
Mike went on, saying, “What Gabby’s been doing is similar to Rachel, but also it’s only Erich. So they are in different scenarios. They are both beloved by Bachelor Nation and we both love them here on ‘Talking It Out,’ but I think that Gabby comes across where she can laugh at herself and she only has one person left, versus Rachel had more of an option.”
He ended his thoughts, saying, “Gabby had the option to leave too, but Rachel has more options in that regard. So that’s maybe why she’s getting more of an undue treatment.”
Either way, we love both of our girls and we’re going to be showing them all the love they deserve through the finale.
