Experience Brussels, Belgium, Like Andi Dorfman on ‘The Bachelorette’
Get excited, because we’re heading to Belgium!
Brussels, Belgium, is rich in history, architecture, gastronomy, culture, and so much more! The warm, welcoming, and quirky Brussels is a bustling city where there’s always something to do. If you visit, you will discover so many hidden gems and meet people with hearts as big as the vibrant city. All of this makes Brussels the perfect place to fall in love and take your romance to new heights.
Andi Dorfman traveled to Brussels on Season 10 of “The Bachelorette,” and here’s how you can experience the city just like her.
Where to Stay
Both Andi and her suitors stayed at the Steigenberger Wiltcher’s Hotel. The hotel is located on the exclusive shopping promenade Avenue Louise in the heart of Brussels and is minutes from some of Brussels’ must-see destinations. The European Union government district, the city center with the Manneken Pis and Grand Place, and multiple train stops are just a short walk away. The hotel always makes luxury and comfort a priority with stylish interiors, premium air conditioning, flatscreen TVs, tea-making facilities, and more.
One-on-One Date: Get a Taste of Brussels
For her first one-on-one date in Brussels, Belgium, Andi invited Marcus to explore the city with her. Andi and Marcus walked through the city and spent the day eating lots of local treats. They went into a store and tried local chocolates. The two bought Brussels-themed souvenirs and stopped at a restaurant to try mussels. After lunch, they split a traditional Belgian treat — a Belgian waffle, of course! For the nighttime portion of their date, Andi and Marcus went to Palais des Académies and enjoyed a private dinner.
Group Date: Get in Touch with Your Peaceful Side
Andi had a special group date for her men while in Belgium! Andi met her guys at Les Ruines de Montaigle in Onhaye, Belgium, where they explored the ruins of an old castle. The group then got on rail bikes (two bikes with a cart between them that you pedal along a track) to continue exploring. They got off and arrived at the Maredsous Abbey monastery, a real working monastery where monks live, work, and study. It’s important to note that if you are traveling with your significant other, no kissing is allowed within the walls of the abbey.
Andi and her men sat in the yard of the abbey, where there was a picnic set up with cheeses and Belgian beer. Andi and Chris enjoyed some one-on-one time at the monastery at a pottery studio. Nick ended up getting the group date rose and he moved onto the night portion of the date, while the other men went back to the hotel. Nick and Andi had dinner in Dinant and enjoyed fireworks at the end of the night.
