Spilling the tea!

In May, Bachelor Nation star Becca Tilley confirmed her relationship with singer Hayley Kiyoko in Hayley’s “Bachelorette”-themed music video.

Since then, the two have been sharing more and more of their relationship on social media after keeping their relationship private for their first four years together.

Now, Hayley joined Becca on her podcast “Scrubbing In,” where they opened up about their relationship and looked back on when they first met.

The two detailed their first date at Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, and Hayley said she didn’t want to reveal her love for Bachelor Nation to Becca right away.

Hayley said, “I did the classic dumb thing where I pretended that I didn’t know who Becca was on ‘The Bachelor’ when I met her, but obviously, I knew who she was. I had watched her season before. What’s interesting is when I watched her seasons, I remember her just being so genuine and having this light. I never thought in a million years that this all would transpire and now she’d be the love of my life. I was sitting on my couch watching ‘The Bachelor’ watching her!”

Obviously, Hayley later had to reveal the truth to her girlfriend.

She went on and explained, “When we met, I did that stupid thing where I was like ‘Oh, what season were you on?’ It was so stupid! But later I confessed to her that I am a psycho Bachelor Nation fan and this just happens to be a coincidence that you’re the love of my life and now we are living happily ever after.”

The two also discussed keeping their relationship private for four years before sharing it with the world.

Hayley opened up, saying, “It was an adjustment and it was worth it, but when we initially started dating, I was ready to have a public relationship. I wanted to flaunt my girlfriend. We were navigating her experience and where she was at too, so it shifted, but it was worth it to me because I wanted to be in a relationship with her.”

She went on, adding, “I never felt like she was hiding me. That would’ve been a different situation because I’ve been hidden before. I was never a secret; we just kept our relationship private. It took me a second to get used to, but then I fell in love with it because it was ours and how cool was it that we got to share it and build a foundation.”

And Hayley actually got emotional and started crying while discussing her love for Becca and their relationship.

The singer said, “Becca has been through a lot. People don’t all know what she’s been through, and she deserves lots of love and everyone in our community deserves to be loved and accepted for who they are. It’s not necessarily easy for a lot of people, so it was hard, but I was just honored to be there with her during her journey. She should live the life that she wants to live. A lot of my fans go through that too, so it was really interesting to be a partner in that.”

We love Becca and Hayley’s love and can’t wait for all that the future holds for these two.
