Genevieve Reveals How She Feels About Reuniting with Shanae in ‘Paradise’
Will the Shrimpgate drama continue?!
Bachelor Nation fans saw drama between Genevieve Parisi and Shanae Ankney heat up on Season 26 of “The Bachelor.”
Now as we get ready to watch both women look for love on the beaches of “Bachelor in Paradise” Season 8, Genevieve is revealing what she was hoping for from their reunion.
Genevieve stopped by the “Click Bait with Bachelor Nation” podcast, where she talked to co-hosts Natasha Parker and Tia Booth about her time in “Paradise.”
Natasha asked Genevieve how she felt about seeing Shanae again for the first time in “Paradise.”
Genevieve said, “We hadn’t talked at all. All I kept saying was that I wanted a genuine apology from Shanae. I didn’t want the drama; I don’t want to be involved in Shrimpgate. I don’t want a Shrimpgate 2.0. I just didn’t want that.”

She went on, noting, “I was just hoping that if she were to be there, which I assumed she would be, that she would just focus on herself and her relationships and not step on anyone’s toes. And I wanted an apology. That was my hope for Shanae.”
Natasha asked if Genevieve got the apology she was hoping for from Shanae and she teased, “You will have to watch and find out. It’s not what you expect.”
Natasha related to Genevieve and discussed her experience with having preconceived notions about people going into “Paradise.”
Natasha said, “I want to be surprised. When Queen Victoria came down to the beach I was like, ‘Oh, hell no. Here we go.’ That was my mindset from watching her on TV and I had never met her before. But she was lovely. So I want to be surprised about Shanae, but for some reason I don’t know that I will be.”
