Kristina Schulman Shares Perioral Dermatitis Update and How She Healed Her Skin
Opening up.
“Bachelor” and “Bachelor in Paradise” star Kristina Schulman has been honest about her skin struggles over the past few years.
Last year, she opened up to fans about her struggle with perioral dermatitis, which, according to WebMD, is a condition most commonly seen in young women where a facial rash with bumps develops around the mouth.

Now, she is sharing an update on how her skin has been doing and how she has worked to heal her condition.
Alongside a video posted to Instagram, Kristina wrote, “I’ve come here with a long overdue update on my perioral dermatitis (PD). As some of you know I’ve struggled with perioral dermatitis for years and couldn’t seem to find a healing solution. I’ve seen many dermatologists, I did a lot of research online (and tried some of the products that have worked for others) but at the end of the day, I found PD to be unique and individual to each person.”
She went on, saying, “In the past year, I’ve had a lot of trial and error with testing out products and changing my diet. With some low days, but optimistic months, I’ve been PD free for about 8-9 months. It’s been a journey, one that I am ready to share in hopes that my findings, and lifestyle changes will help you. Disclaimer: I am not a doctor, nor do I have any esthetician or nutritional background.”
In the video, Kristina shared what has worked for her and sent her love to anyone struggling with a similar condition.

She wrote, “Hang in there with me while I cover go-to products and ones to avoid (oils!), dietary changes (if hesitant, consult your doctor), hygiene practices (avoid sodium lauryl sulfate products!), and much, much more.”
Many of her fellow Bachelor Nation stars, like Kendall Long, Sharleen Joynt, John Paul Jones, and more, flooded her comments showing Kristina their love and support.
We couldn’t agree more, and we know that Kristina being so candid and vulnerable will help others going through something similar.
