This Week in Bachelor Nation History: Michelle Young’s Season of ‘The Bachelorette’ Premieres
Looking back!
This week in Bachelor Nation history, Michelle Young’s journey as the Season 18 Bachelorette premiered.
The Minnesota native was previously the runner-up on Matt James’ season of “The Bachelor” and she stole Bachelor Nation’s hearts right away.
With her background as a Division I basketball player and as a teacher, fans were ready to watch Michelle’s journey unfold.
On night one, fans saw Michelle meet 30 men, and many of them had fun tricks up their sleeves for their leading lady.
Rodney famously came dressed as an apple to earn some teacher points from Michelle.
Chris S. rolled in on a school bus and came dressed like a student to meet the Bachelorette.
And Rick stole the show by serving his head up on a silver platter for Michelle.
While Michelle had a lot of fun with her men, she also made it clear that she was taking this journey seriously from the get-go.
She even sent Ryan home before the Rose Ceremony after finding out about his notes with information on “how to win” on “The Bachelorette.”
Michelle wasn’t messing around!
Michelle’s season went on to make Bachelor Nation history by having the first top four suitors who were all people of color.
Michelle later spoke about this historic moment on the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast, saying, “It’s been really cool to be a part of this experience and to make history in this way.”
