This Week in Bachelor Nation History: Lorenzo Borghese Visits the Hometowns of His Final 4 Women
Throwing it back!
Prince Lorenzo Borghese was the reigning Bachelor of Season 9, and when we say reigning, we mean it literally. This season was unlike any other and took place in Rome.
While Lorenzo starred on “The Bachelor,” he was also a real-life Italian prince. His family history dates back to the 1600s, so the Bachelor headed to Rome to look for love in a castle where his ancestors lived for hundreds of years.
Despite spending most of the season in Rome, this week in Bachelor Nation history, Lorenzo was ready to take flight and meet the families of his final four women.
Lorenzo visited the hometowns of Agnese, Jennifer, Lisa, and Sadie.
Lorenzo started the week off in Miami, where he spent the day shark fishing with Jennifer.
But things took a turn when Lorenzo met Jennifer’s dad, a high school football coach.
It quickly became obvious that he was extremely overprotective of his only daughter and was not impressed by the Bachelor’s title of prince.
After an awkward dinner, Jennifer’s father showed off his gun collection and made sure that Lorenzo got the message, literally telling him that he would have no problem using the weapons if anyone were to hurt his daughter.
Then, Lorenzo traveled to San Diego to meet Sadie’s family.
While visiting her family, Lorenzo learned that Sadie’s decision to remain abstinent stemmed from her devout Christian family.
Her family welcomed him with open arms and the two shared a special moment at the end of the day in front of the bonfire.
Next, Lorenzo headed to Portland to visit Lisa’s family. Her friend had a surprise up her sleeve as she crashed their date and brought a wedding gown for Lisa to wear.
Lorenzo later found out the Lisa has a really specific timeline for getting married and having kids, and his potential future flashed before his eyes.
That night, Lorenzo met Lisa’s family and her mom led them in an impromptu Pilates session.
And for his last hometown visit, Lorenzo traveled to Venice, Italy, to meet Agnese’s family.
This was the first hometown date in Bachelor Nation history to take place in Europe and Lorenzo had some trouble communicating with Agnese’s family, who don’t speak any English.
Eventually, Lorenzo ended up sending Agnese home in tears at the Rose Ceremony and the remaining three women headed to overnight dates with the Bachelor.
