Michael Allio Confided in Thomas Jacobs About Saying ‘I Love You’ to Only One Person
Candid conversations.
This week on “Bachelor in Paradise,” fans saw successful “Paradise” couple Becca Kufrin and Thomas Jacobs hit the beach for a second time.
The two visited the Season 8 cast and threw them a Sadie Hawkins-style ’90s dance party.
And while they were in “Paradise,” Becca and Thomas got to have some one-on-one conversations with the cast.
On this week’s episode of “Bachelor Happy Hour,” Thomas discussed a conversation he had with Michael Allio, who he’s friends with from Season 17 of “The Bachelorette.”
Thomas told his fiancée and co-host Becca that Michael opened up to him about his relationship with Danielle Maltby.
Thomas said, “For Michael, it’s more than just a relationship with a significant other. It’s bringing someone else in to be a potential mother figure to his son, James. I was asking him about that and he was all in on Danielle, however he is very reserved. He’s only said ‘I love you’ to one partner on this planet and that is his wife, Laura.”

He went on, sharing, “In his life, up until that point when we had that conversation in ‘Paradise,’ he had only said ‘I love you’ to one person on the planet. The fact that when we were sitting there talking about the future outside with Danielle and what that could look like, that gave me sore cheeks just from smiling. That’s a powerful thing for him. I was elated to hear it.”
Thomas shared why this conversation got him so excited about the potential future for Michael and Danielle.
“He never used the word ‘love’ when talking about Danielle, but he did say he was getting there. He was potentially on that trajectory. I don’t know how their relationship in ‘Paradise’ ends, but that was just cool to see as far as conversations that we had there,” Thomas explained.
