Blake Moynes’ Mom Asks For Prayers for Blake Amid Scary Infection on Trip to Africa: ‘I’m Really Freaking Out’

Bachelor Nation fans know Blake Moynes from Seasons 16 and 17 of “The Bachelorette.”
During his time on the shows, we were introduced to Blake as a wildlife manager, and he’s still working in environmental conservation, including starting his own nonprofit organization called the Mowgli Moynes Fund.
Blake’s organization supports animal education and awareness and funds wildlife conservation organizations and charities.

Currently, Blake is on a conservation trip in Africa, and his mom just took to Instagram to share a scary update about a health issue Blake’s been facing on his trip.
On her Instagram Stories, Blake’s mom Emily Moynes wrote, “Can we please just say a prayer for my Blaker,” and revealed what’s been going on with him.
She said, “I just got a call from Blake. I haven’t heard from him very often. He’s in Africa and he’s been there for about a month. He doesn’t have phone service, but he’s down there fighting the poachers and saving the rhinos and elephants. He’s doing absolutely what he loves and he’s so passionate about his work. But four days ago he called and told me he had a really bad infection and that he had been treated.”

Blake’s mom went on, saying, “Then I just got another call today and I’m starting to freak out. He just got out of surgery. Do you guys believe in the power of prayer? It doesn’t matter how old your kids are, the worrying never stops. I really could use some prayers for Blaker. I want him to come home. Just come home, Blake. I know you love what you’re doing, but you’re freaking me out. I’m ready to get on the next flight out to Africa, so say a prayer for Blake, please.”
