Blake Moynes’ Mom Shares Update on His Health After ‘Really Bad’ Infection and Surgery in Africa
Feeling the love.
Earlier this week, Bachelor Nation star Blake Moynes’ mom Emily Moynes took to Instagram to share that Blake is on a conservation trip in Africa and has been dealing with scary health issues.
As fans know, Blake is a wildlife manager, and he’s still working in environmental conservation, including starting his own nonprofit organization called the Mowgli Moynes Fund.
Emily shared that while her son has been trying to save the elephants and rhinos from poachers, “he called and told me he had a really bad infection.”
Days later, she received another call saying that Blake needed surgery and asked for prayers for her son.
Emily said, “It doesn’t matter how old your kids are, the worrying never stops. I really could use some prayers for Blaker. I want him to come home. Just come home, Blake. I know you love what you’re doing, but you’re freaking me out. I’m ready to get on the next flight out to Africa, so say a prayer for Blake, please.”

Now, Blake’s mom is sharing the latest update on her son and is thanking fans for all the support.
On her Instagram Stories, Emily said, “I know a lot of you are waiting for an update on Blake. I just received word that Blake is in great spirits today post-op and that full recovery is expected. He is getting excellent care in a private hospital. I don’t know when he’s coming home.”
She went on, saying, “He is not supposed to come home until March, and knowing him, he will stick it out because he will not leave until his work is done. I just wanted to tell you that I was completely overwhelmed with the amount of love and support and prayers and encouragement. I had a moment where I have never felt like more a part of a community than I did yesterday. Your prayers meant so much. Thank you so, so much.”
We are continuing to keep Blake and his family in our thoughts, and we’re wishing him a very speedy recovery.
