Bachelor Nation fans watched Clayton Echard and Rachel Recchia’s extremely emotional breakup on Season 26 of “The Bachelor.”
Rachel went on to be the Bachelorette on Season 19, but now, both she and Clayton find themselves single again.
Last week, Rachel took to TikTok and posted a video with her Bachelor Nation BFF Michelle Young and Clayton.
The video of Rachel and Clayton sitting together on the couch raked in over 1.5 million views and counting.
Fans immediately started to speculate whether this meant Rachel and Clayton were back together, with thousands of comments flooding Rachel’s video.
She eventually commented that it was “all in good fun, you guys,” but now, Joe Amabile and Mari Pepin are breaking down this moment on the “Click Bait with Bachelor Nation” podcast.
Joe kicked off the conversation by saying, “There were a lot of rumors that Clayton and Rachel may be back together. They posted together in a cute video where Michelle asked what’s going on. Rachel’s comment seemed to put it all to bed,” but he asked Mari if she thought they could be rekindling their romance.
Mari said, “I was kind of hoping that there was a spark being rekindled. I think that would’ve been really cute. During their time on his season, they both had a lot of strong feelings for each other, so I was sad it didn’t work out in the end and this wasn’t going in that direction. Whatever makes them happy, though!”
Joe revealed why he didn’t think the video was a relationship announcement.
He said, “I feel like I knew it was a joke, with their time on the show and how everything went down between them, I don’t feel like they would’ve released a rekindled relationship like that. It would’ve been a romantic Instagram post saying that they’re together, but they’re not. I also heard that Rachel may be dating someone, but that could completely be false.”
Mari said she hadn’t heard that Rachel is dating anyone, but said they need to dive into that more on “Click Bait.”
