Rachel Recchia Opens Up About Upcoming Breast Reduction Surgery: ‘This Is a Really Big Deal For Me’
Opening up.
Former Bachelorette Rachel Recchia took to TikTok this week to open up about her upcoming breast reduction surgery.
Alongside the video, Rachel wrote, “I always support anyone doing what makes them happy or improves their quality of life.”
And Rachel started off the video saying, “Okay, so this is kind of a really big deal for me, but I wanted to come on and ask what women have experienced when getting a breast reduction. I’m wondering what kind of advice there is out there. I have been in the process of going through my insurance and wanting to get this surgery done since I was 17 years old. I think I’m about to get it done at the beginning of next month.”
The Bachelor Nation star went on, sharing why she has been hoping to get breast reduction surgery.
She said, “I truly think that this surgery is going to absolutely change my life, not only in the way that I’m able to exercise and hopefully not have pain, but every woman I’ve ever met who’s gotten this surgery has said it’s absolutely changed their life. I would love to share my journey with you guys and also get advice from people who have gotten this surgery already.”
Rachel also shared that she’s both excited and nervous for the procedure.
She said, “I’ve been a crazy person scouring the Internet trying to figure out what products I need, what to expect before, what to expect after, and I’ve seen a bunch of different stories. So I’d love to hear everyone’s stories down below. This is a huge deal for me. I’m really excited, but I’m also super nervous. I’m excited to take you along with me in the process and I can’t wait to hear what you guys have to say.”
The comments were quickly flooded with hundreds of fans discussing their experiences, with many saying the surgery was life-changing for them, and they shared their tips with Rachel.
One person noted that it’s important to have a caretaker, and Rachel shared that her roommate and fellow Bachelor Nation star Genevieve Parisi will be taking care of her after her surgery.
We are wishing Rachel all the best as she embarks on this journey, and we know that her sharing her experience will help so many others.
