In her post, Ashley noted, “None of the products I’ve mentioned in this post are sponsored. I will never promote a skincare brand I don’t love and trust and will use myself. You can ask my agent. I’ve turned down partnerships.”
In her first post in the series, Ashley discussed some products that she was prescribed by her doctor that help with her skin healing.
In the caption, Ashley wrote, “I know this post is bound to get some mixed comments as I use prescriptions to keep my skin clear. Some will say that I’m not getting to the root of the hormonal imbalance that predominantly causes my type of acne. Honestly, they’re not wrong.”

She went on, saying, “However, I didn’t find spending $200+ a month and not eating white carbs and dairy to be a sustainable way of life for me. Dare I say I may like macaroni and cheese and chocolate more than a clear face. So tell me I take the easy way out by taking meds for my acne…and tell me that I’m putting a band-aid on my body’s issues instead of curing them…you likely have a point. I’m in no way telling you all what you should do to solve your skin issues.”
In the video, Ashley discusses some of the prescription products she uses and made sure to tell viewers to consult their health care provider with any questions.
In another video she posted this week, Ashley shared some of her over-the-counter skin care products that she uses as a part of her triple-cleanse face-washing routine.

Alongside the video, Ashley wrote, “I previously posted a reel about the prescriptions I’m on to keep my skin clear. Those are the hardest workers when it comes to preventing breakouts, but there’s more to skincare than hormonal pimple busters. Good facial cleaners & exfoliants are needed to remove pore clogging dirt, impurities, & dead skin cells and prep skin so that topicals can work effectively. This is all crucial for nice skin texture.”
In Ashley’s video, she noted that all the products are linked in her bio in case anyone wanted to check them out.
We know that Ashley sharing her skin care journey so candidly will help so many others going through something similar.
