This Week in Bachelor Nation History: ‘Winter Games’ Kissing Contest Leads to Tears and a Run to the Restroom
A kissing contest for the books!
This week in Bachelor Nation history, we’re looking back on an iconic moment from the spin-off show “Bachelor Winter Games.”
In this series, Bachelor Nation fan favorites from around the world gathered at a winter resort in Vermont, where they competed in winter sports challenges while looking for love.
Five years ago this week, a major episode in the series aired in which the couples were put to the test in the kissing department.
As they headed into the final week of competitions and the third Rose Ceremony, the seven remaining couples competed for best kiss in front of a panel of former Bachelor and Bachelorettes.
JoJo Fletcher, Rachel Lindsay, and Arie Luyendyk Jr. were in attendance to judge some of their exes kissing their new boos.
Bibiana said, “Leave it to ‘Bachelor Winter Games’ to call in our exes to judge a kissing contest to make us feel uncomfortable as hell.”
But before the kissing competition even started, Clare left in tears and she and Christian decided it was best to go their separate ways.
The two hadn’t shared a kiss yet and neither of them felt right about having their first kiss under those circumstances.
After Clare and Christian’s departure, the kissing competition began!
Dean and Lesley kicked things off with a choreographed number that left the judges wondering if they were competing for best dance or best kiss.
Ashley and Kevin were up next, and all three judges gave them a standing ovation for their steamy makeout session and apparent chemistry.
As Courtney and Lily and Bibiana and Jordan shared their kisses, Ally started to feel unwell and told her partner Josiah she needed to use the restroom.
Just as the two were called up to the stage, Ally dashed to the bathroom, where she proceeded to throw up.
Josiah followed her to the bathroom and was there to comfort her as she said she was embarrassed and her nerves got the best of her.
Ally said, “I really appreciate how much effort Josiah has put in. He’s trying to be very caring and kind and I think it’s so lovely. I appreciate it so much. I definitely need to be more open and I need to give more of a chance. I just feel bad for Josiah kissing me after that! But I brushed my teeth, so it’s all good.”
The two went on and eventually shared a kiss, and JoJo said, “I don’t know what else says love other than making out with your girl after she threw up.”
Luke and Stassi were the final duo to share a kiss, and despite her nerves around PDA, the two had sparks flying.
The judges got to decide which couple had the least amount of chemistry and eventually it came down to Dean and Lesley and Ally and Josiah.
Ally and Josiah eventually went home, while Dean and Lesley continued on to the next week.
