Danielle Maltby Shares Why She’s ‘Extra Thankful’ for Boyfriend Michael Allio During a ‘Dark Month’
Getting candid.
Bachelor Nation fans saw Michael Allio and Danielle Maltby find love and leave the beach together on Season 8 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
And last month, Danielle moved to Cleveland to be closer to Michael and his son James.
Now, Dani is taking to Instagram to share a special shout-out to her partner Michael and shared why she is so grateful for him.
Alongside sweet photos of the two of them, Danielle wrote, “Just extra thankful for this one. Yesterday was a rough day for a ton of reasons. Nothing went right, I let people down and am facing a major delay in egg freezing (I haven’t spoken much about that here yet but I will). The move felt like it really set in when I got that call and realized I wasn’t 10 minutes away from my best friends in Nashville. My emotions and nerves were raw.”

Danielle went on and shared that this time of year is also tough for her because it’s the month her late fiancé passed away.
The Bachelor Nation star wrote, “On top of that, this month is just a dark month for me. It’s always a toss up to how I will feel and be able to navigate and regulate my emotions. I feel like I’m equally likely to implode or explode in tears and not desire either outcome. It’s constant practice in therapy. Grief, trauma, anger, fear all pop up when they feel like it. In many ways it feels amplified now that I found Michael bc as someone who has lost a significant other, the fear of the possibility of losing someone again can be heavy and constant and problematic and valid.”
Dani explained how Michael makes her feel better in these moments and how they support each other during difficult times.

She said, “After last night, I feel refreshed and so grateful for the space Michael and I give each other to feel and safe place to land together. Room to be enough, room to be sad, room to be frustrated, room to really see each other and let ourselves be seen. Which can be so uncomfortable and scary in itself. But the capacity to continue to love each other deeper in and after these moments blows my mind, but it just keeps happening. He’s my favorite place to land.”
We’re not crying, you’re crying!
Danielle concluded her post by sharing some love and self-care tips for anyone else having a rough day and reminded her followers, “You’re not too much and just enough.”
We love Danielle and Michael’s love and the way they continue to show up for each other in good times and more challenging ones.
