Spilling the tea!

Fans saw Zach Shallcross and Kaity Biggar fall in love and get engaged on Season 27 of “The Bachelor” and now, the couple is stopping by the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast to discuss their romantic proposal.

The newly engaged lovebirds chatted with co-host Becca Kufrin about the sweet moment when Zach got down on one knee and how they came up with what to say to each other in that moment.

Zach said he was nervous and wanted to prepare what he’d be saying to his future fiancée.

The former Bachelor said, “The night before I wanted to have something planned and I wanted her to know how much she means to me and how much I love her. I wanted it to be beautifully written if I could because I wanted it to be really special for her. I started writing the night before and then I continued writing the next morning.”

Zach went on sharing, “When everything was all said and done and I was standing up there, I saw her walking towards me and my knees were trembling. I was already starting to crack and I couldn’t stop smiling. The whole script I had in my head of what I wanted to say to her, I tried to remember it, but I was getting emotional.”

How sweet!

He added, “I was just so happy and I was looking into her eyes falling more and more in love. I remember her saying ‘just kiss me already’ and I wanted something prepared, but once I was up there I spoke from the heart.”

Kaity agreed saying while she tried to prepare a speech, she ended up just speaking from the heart as well.

The Bachelor Nation star said, “Truly, you could tell he spoke from the heart. And I wrote out a speech and I was trying to memorize it and I was like I’m going to fumble the bag. I thought my words were going to get all jumbled up or whatever.”

Becca said they both “killed it” and she said she could really tell they both just poured their hearts out authentically.

The co-host said, “Both of you crushed it and you both spoke from the heart. This was something that I saw from your first date on the show and even now, you both have this ease about you between the two of you.”

Becca continued on saying, “Obviously you’re so happy right now, but you also just seem so calm and you center each other which is really special. That last day you can tell if things seem rehearsed or if people ran through things in their head, but for both of you it just seemed to flow from the heart and it was beautiful.”

We couldn’t agree more! Congrats to Zach and Kaity on your beautiful engagement, we can’t wait for all that the future holds for you two.
