Gabi Breaks Down the Iconic Moment She Was Dropped Off in the Mud: ‘Don’t Do That to Kaity’
Girl power.
Bachelor Nation fans saw Gabi Elnicki and Kaity Biggar both vying for Zach Shallcross’ heart on Season 27 of “The Bachelor.”
When it came down to the very last day, Zach broke up with Gabi and proposed to his now-fiancée Kaity.
Despite the two women falling in love with the same man, they remained close friends, and even when she knew she was about to be broken up with, Gabi had Kaity’s best interests in mind.
Now, Gabi stopped by the “Click Bait with Bachelor Nation” podcast and opened up about her friendship with Kaity and the other finalist, Ariel Frenkel.
She told co-host Joe Amabile about the moment she spoke up about getting dropped off in the mud and how she didn’t want the same thing to happen to Kaity.

Gabi said, “Going into that day, I was a little bit activated and I knew. You know, I knew, it was not me. Getting out of the car, my heels sunk into the mud and I could see everyone was stressed, but I literally sunk into the mud. Luckily my dress was a little bit short, so it didn’t get in the mud. I was saying that to the people who were in the production who were telling me to come forward.”
She went on, sharing, “Everyone thought I was yelling at the driver, but I wasn’t yelling at the driver of the car, I was speaking to production when they were telling me to come forward and I needed to get out of the mud. This was about to be Kaity’s moment and she should get out and feel happy and excited, so don’t make her heels sink into the mud and throw her off balance.”
Joe joked that Gabi better be invited to their wedding because she was a true friend through and through.
He also asked Gabi about the photo she, Kaity, and Ariel all posted with the same caption during Fantasy Suite week.
Gabi said, “We wanted to show that we’re in this together. The girls from this season were all so awesome. Kaity and Ariel were two of the girls I clicked with the most from the beginning. We were always together and we were always in each other’s rooms. We really got each other. Jess was one of those girls too. She’s such a sweetheart. I think what we wanted to show was that this is painful and we all have our challenges, so we came up with that idea together.”

The Bachelor Nation star added, “We wanted to show that no matter what, we are still close friends and we support one another. You have so many parameters that you do have to follow about posting to keep the show secret and not reveal what would happen next week.
“But we got the photo from the prior week and the point of it was to show that we are in this together and we are friends and we have each other’s back no matter what happens. You don’t know how fans will react to something you say and you don’t know what’s going to be aired or how it will be edited. The point of the photo was to show we have each other’s back through the rest of this and afterwards.”
We love that!
