Zach Shallcross & Jess Girod Respond to Theory They Were Dating After ‘The Bachelor’
Major rumor alert.
Bachelor Nation fans saw Zach Shallcross find love and get engaged to Kaity Biggar on Season 27 of “The Bachelor” and the two couldn’t be happier and more in love.
But that didn’t stop fan rumors from swirling around that Zach had rekindled with Jess Girod, who was also vying for his heart this season.
“Chicks in the Office” podcast co-host Ria Ciuffo sparked the rumor and has since apologized to Zach and Jess, as she was clearly wrong.

Zach and Kaity stopped by Ria’s podcast, and while she was sick, she made a video expressing her apologies to the happy couple.
In the video, Ria said, “I just want to say congrats, number one, and number two, I want to say I’m sorry for spreading around a rumor that I heard that I thought might be true.”
The former Bachelor said he appreciated Ria’s apology on the podcast, adding, “It was out of the blue. I appreciate that she actually made a video and apologized because there’s so many crazy things that go on and people have all these conspiracies and this and that, but she owned up to it.”
And Jess also responded to the rumors in a TikTok video set to the sound that says, “First of all, I’m glad you said that, I’m not 5’2. I’m 5’3.”
Alongside the video, Jess wrote, “I was rumored to be with WHO. First of all, I didn’t even get a date with the man. NEXT.”
So clearly there is nothing to see here, and we’re glad the air has officially been cleared once and for all!
