The 29-year-old said, “The question I was asked most was how to survive dating in your 20s. Lean in, I’ll tell you how… You don’t. You honestly barely make it out alive, but each moment is worth it. A little story time for you: I left my relationship and my job at the beginning of the pandemic at 25. If I could’ve done things differently, I honestly wouldn’t have.”
Ariel went on, saying, “And as you guys know, at 28, I went on a reality TV show to find a partner and I still didn’t find one. I’ve come to realize that when you make a plan, God laughs. You’ve got to learn how to laugh too. Laugh at the goals that you [set] in your early 20s that you didn’t meet. Laugh at the dating expectations you set. Laugh at the text that you never got back. Laugh at the dates that were so bad that you thought you’d never date again. Laugh at the hours you won’t get back either. Laugh at the people you thought you’d never kiss. Laugh at the people that you thought you’d marry.”
The Bachelor Nation star didn’t stop there, though.

She added to, “Remember that your objective in your 20s should not be to find a partner, a fiancé, a boyfriend… You might, but you might not as well, and that’s okay. You should date to get to know yourself, not to strictly find a person. The more you know yourself, the more you know what kind of partner you’re looking for.”
And Ariel ended her video with some important closing thoughts.
She said, “You might go on a thousand dates before you find that person. You’ll be so lonely at times that you might want to settle, but don’t. Remember that it’s supposed to be fun, because we seem to always forget that. And don’t take things so personally because they’re not, and even if they are, be delusional.”
