Becca Tilley Opens Up About Her Sexuality: ‘It Was Always Jack AND Rose for Me’

Bachelor Nation fans first met Becca Tilley on Season 19 of “The Bachelor,” and she returned to our screens for Season 20.
Since her time on the Bachelor Nation shows, Becca has found love off-screen with her girlfriend Hayley Kiyoko.
The two have been together for over five years, and now Becca is opening up more about her sexuality in a new Q&A.
During her Q&A on Instagram, one fan asked Becca if she was comfortable sharing more about her sexuality and if she is still also attracted to men despite being in a long-term relationship with a woman.

Becca said, “I don’t mind you asking! Yes I am. I’m realizing that I’ve always been attracted to both. I don’t think I knew what the attraction towards women meant, so it would be like ‘oh I have a girl crush.’ but isn’t that just a crush on a woman? But it was always Jack AND Rose for me.”
Becca also opened up about how not everyone close to her was supportive when she came out as queer.
The Bachelor Nation star said, “Yes and I’ve grown to realize that’s ok. My main focus was just the willingness to listen and respect each other. And if I didn’t at least get that, I realized I had to set boundaries to protect myself because my personality wants everyone to be happy and agree and sometimes that’s not realistic to expect of people.”

Becca shared how therapy has been a very helpful tool when navigating experiences like that.
She spoke about therapy, saying, “I’m so grateful for it! Even when it makes me uncomfortable. I think sometimes people think therapy is a cure all, but in my experience with it, it’s just opened my eyes to being able to learn and grow.. That means I have to put in the work and be uncomfortable sometimes- but it’s definitely worth it.”
